OK, the Virtual Fishing Tournament did not get off to a great start. Essentially we had 6 entries, and none of them qualified. This one is going to be a lot different. Simply post your entry here.
Here are the details.
Post a picture here in this thread of a Big Crappie and include in the photo either a camera imposed date (dated between April 12th 2011 and April 30th 2011) or include the following control code somewhere in the photo. cdc21
This allows everyone to enter, camera that can include dates or not. It ensures a recent photo, cause of the date or control code. And we are not going to worry about exact size of fish. We just want to see a big fish and a good photo. This is what you will be judged on, Big Fish and Good Photo. Again, the winner does not have to have the biggest fish, just a big one, and the photo needs to generally be "good" (nicely taken, nicely set, nice background....whatever, we just have to like it).
No Photoshoped or altered photos please.
My family will pick the best 3-6 entries (depending on the number of entries), and we will put it up for a vote. Yes a VOTE. You all will get to vote. But please, no cheating on the voting. Do not register with a second or third User Name and vote more than once (this is not Chicago)!
The winner will get this real cool prize pack from Larew; Bobby Garland goodies in a Plano case. Really great stuff, I've checked them out. I'll try to add details of the prize pack a little later, but it has a retail value of more than $175.

Sorry but your entry does not qualify. We need to ensure the picture was taken during the time of the contest. You need to include the control code cdc21 in the actual picture, or have a date on the picture (created by the camera) that's within the time of the contest (April 12th 2011 - April 30th 2011).
Sorry, my cell phone does not have a date.
Caught in Lake Burnt Mills in Virginia. 17inch. My lake picture was horrible so I had to wait and get a picture at home.

Really people? Photo shopping the control number doesn't count. I can photo shop the number on a picture from 3 years ago. It doesn't prove anything.
That being said, still a nice fish.
Question, does the person in the picture with the fish have to be the CDC member or would my wife holding the fish be acceptable? She is waaaay more photogenic than I am.
My son with his recent catch. He had the cheese grin going on!
