Rinse thouroughly after each and every use...........bleach once in a while doesnt hurt either.
What is the easiest and best way you know of cleaning your live well so it doesn't get so rank
I DO MY BEST PROOFREADING RIGHT AFTER I HIT THE "SUBMIT" BUTON
Rinse thouroughly after each and every use...........bleach once in a while doesnt hurt either.
clorox anywhere hard surface cleaner and a powerwasher, rinse it real good
On my boat, I just dump a couple gallons of water with a couple tablespoons of pinesol in it and let it drain out. Then I leave the lid open and let it dry.
bleach water is a good all purpose cleaner - also good for mold / mildew off of campers, vinyl siding, "rainrot" on horses, general dandruff and itching on horses and dogs, funk smell in tight quarters (ie. livewells, gun/rod boxes), killing chiggers (by taking a bath in it, just a few capfuls) Good stuff, right up there with epsom salts. LOL
The pinesol mixed with water is good... I would be careful using the bleach, especially if you have a live well pump. The bleach will harm the seals in the pump...Thumbs Up
when thrugh fishing open lid and let dry out at least 2 days.
car wash. stick the hose in, shut the lid and blast away. drain out and leave the lid open
The best is not to use it. I fill it with water when fishing just to add weight to an aluminum boat, but I put my fish on ice in a cooler so they stay fresh. No dead fish in the live well going soft. When I did use it, cleaned it with bleach water and drained. Also sunshine is great for killing odors.

I don't clean it often, but bleach works good. Then I just put the hose in & let it run and drain out the overflow for an hr or so(flushes it), then leave the lid open till it dries.
