    Default Truman Lake Saturday

We have just joined Crappie.com so we are new to this.
We fished Truman Lake on Sat and only caught 1 crappie, we usually catch our limit but not this day! It seems everyone is catching crappie near Bucksaw, is the water warmer up towards Bucksaw? We have days where we do great at Sterret Creek area and then other days we dont do well! WE fished water everywhere Sat from 30' to 5' with minnows and also we used plastics!

First of all. Welcome to CDC. We fished within a mile or two of Bucksaw yesterday and the water temp was 49 degrees if I remember correctly. Take a look at the main Missouri page forum and there are several posts from the last couple of days of fishing on Truman that should give you some pointers. Again, welcome to CDC and the best of luck to you in your fishing adventures.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

Welcome from the Capital City. we've had a few " one fish days" on Truman ourselves so we know the feeling. The best part is being on the water with friends/family and having fun........ the next time out will be better!
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

Welcome to CDC. I don’t think the water Temps are any different at Bucksaw, I showed 49-50 deg on Sat, and had 50-51 on Sunday at Windsor Crossing. I just think that the fish on the Grand are in a bigger hurry than the rest. The key for us has been to find spawning coves/banks and work out to the staging areas, (7-14 feet of water) in most cases if you catch one more are close by. Bottom contour has been playing a bigger part that cover!!! Just my two cents! Again Welcome!!!

We didn't find anyone catching an fish. We fished in little Tebo and over across from the state park. Quite a few people fishing. But fun to be out on the water, first time this year.
