    Default Melvern 3/30/11

Doug and I had a fine start for the day with breakfast at Green Acres that fueled us for the nine hours spent on the water to get our 40 crappie and a bonus 23 inch eye. We could only get two or three keepers per brush pile to take our offerings. So it was work the piles and move on. Most fish were caught 21 ft to 24 ft in 21 to 30 feet of water. We did find/mark and catch a few scattered fish 21 ft down out from the piles. The wind was more brisk than forecast-ed earlier in the morning but it did set down later on and remained fairly cloudy all day. A day we'll book as a very good fishing day and continues to keep Melvern as one of our favorites.

Following are some pictures from the day.

“There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide.” Ayn Rand
