    Default Norman striper 3/8/11


    Another good afternoon with the Silver fox hooked-up on 12 striper and 6 large mouth pulling u-rigs in 55f water temp, across shallow points 15 ft-20ft, only 1 double today biggest fish today 7lb.1oz. fish from 3:00pm to 6:00pm had 2 come off at boat that look like real solid fish we both felt bad about missing them .The fish they were hitting white buck tails better today than yesterday and had moved maybe 1/4 mile from where we were on them yesterday afternoon. Here's silver Fox with the big fish.

    Thanks Jw I'm out of town working now and can't fish for them like I did all winter, maybe I'll be able to boat a few more before the jet ski's and big boats take the lake over.

    Hello, I have been wanting to fish Norman for stripers, but I figured with the fish kill last summer their wasn,t much left. I see I was wrong. Nice fish and good luck.

    Come on down, I'll help you find some ,there's plenty left maybe not as many as before the kill but still plenty, as of march 12th my last trip I have boated 210 since Nov. 5

    Thanks reelsmoke, it sounds like you have them figured out. I may take you up on that and if you ever want to go walleye fishing on lake james let me know.

    Default My daughters catch while trolling for crappie

    The fish nearly broke a good 12 foot crappie in half. She almost couldnt get the rod out of the trolling rack. Sure was fun watching her fiht it to the end...7.3# Her best so far

    That's a great catch and great picture as well, what lake were you guy's on I'm working close to Tenn. now I've fished at Norris but it's been years?

    It was on Horseshoe Lake in Arkansas. Just a little ways out of Memphis and south of I-40...
