6' light
What type and length rods do yall use for spawing crappie in 2-4ft of water. I have some 8footers but want something longer to keep from spooking them. Thanks for the help.:D

If I'm casting it just one of the 5' UL's. But I prefer the 10' pole when they are really on the banks and in the brush.

You can always use jig or minnow under cork and throw past them, then reel it to them. You can use any length to throw past them with a jig and bump off the bottom or use shallow running plugs. These are the things I use. I usually use ultra lights for casting or seven footers and the kind verys from ugly stick, cherrywood, micro spins, and so on.

This only my opinion, but nothing you can say will change my mind. That makes it a FACT.

6' 6" Wally M. Lite Action, but i'm usually pitching or casting jigs or minnows under a small float...izzy
An old 9 foot flyrod with a small spin reel.... Hey it works...

Combination of 6 and 8 foot. Longer than the eight gets challenging to get the fish in the boat once they are hooked...
Wally Marshall 7, 8 and 12' for tightlining and float fishing. With thill slip floats you can cast just as accurate as a spinner and still have the benefits of the float. For casting I use 5' ugly stik LA rods. Quantum hypercast HPL10 on the long rods, Shimano Spirex on the uglies.
BTW I have one 12' that has caught more fish than the others combined. You can reach over and drop down into the brush and you can fish a dock faster since you don't have to cast or reel, just lift and pitch.

I use a 9' Wally rod with a slip float and two 1/32 or 1/16 oz jigs.
