    Hey guys,

Just to throw this out. I'm currently mobilized and in training to leave for Afghanistan in two weeks with the Navy Reserve. This is my third deployment in six years with the others being Iraq. Will be out of the "fishing picture" for a while.....perhaps up to two years on this one. Ya'll think of me when you're pulling in one of those big slabs!

Thank you for what you do for our country. It is men and women who do what you do that allows the rest of us to lay our heads down at night and sleep in peace. Plus our armed forces give us the freedoms that we, so often, take for granted. May the Lord watch over you and bring you home safely. Me He also watch over your family while you are deployed.
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.

I know exactly how you feel.I did 4 years active duty Marines('92-'96).I spent 14 months on a ship.I would read the La. Sportsman from cover to cover, when my family would send me a care package.Give me your address and I'll send you some crappie mags or whatever you want.No kidding,I'm serious.....thanks for your service. -Marty

    Hey RC,

I'll keep you and all our service men in my prayers.

I have a son who's on his second deployment. He's due back in March.

He loves to fish too. hope to wet a line with him soon.

Thanks for your service and may God watch over all of you.
