I use power pro but 10,15, and 20 lb i like it alot
I see alot of you guys use braided line, have any of you tried the power pro microline...3 or 4LB braid? I read on another post it keeps the line tighter on a lighter jig. so thought i may give it a try, just wanted to hear your opinions first

Hey Josh, good idea to get some "around the country" advise here on C.C
You've heard my story, more than once, about my system.
It scares most folks, but it gets the job done.
Man, wish you coulda been here today for CATs Extravaganza kickoff meeting.
We had Mr. Ron Capps and boy he knows his stuff.
Got my picture made with him.
Don't worry, I kept my hat on to keep the glare from this bald head from ruining the camera.
:D
Wow 3# braid, you may as well use sewing thread.
Just my opinion...since I use 20#
Thumbs Up
Looking forward to you getting home and giving us some competition.
Thanks for all you do for our country.
Mack,
I wish i could have been there for it, but you know. I have put in some email with him, the wife cleared a family vacation up to him cabins this fall, so I will be getting a guide trip with him to learn the art of spider rigging....I heard he is kinda good at it...LOL.....as for the braid I was looking at the 8LB but saw this stuff and apparently it is new so wanted to see if anyone has tried it, I would assume since it is braid 3 or 4 LB would be strong enough. Just looking at options, of course i have two unopened rolls of vicious also..LOL...but just wanted to hear the different opinions on them
I really like power pro and I use 8lb and 10 lb crappie fishin. I use 15 lb to 50 lb when I am green carpin and wiper fishing. Check gander mountains price on power pro. I also turned my dad on power pro about 4 years ago and he really likes it. If you here people talk about there wind knot problems it is due to the line twist. If you spool it right and put it on a reel that has a line reduction system like daiwas have twist buster 2. When I put it on reels that have that system I will get no wind knots.
what is the line reduction system? I am trying out a H2O Mettle and may switch to all those depending how i like them.
Josh, The microfuse braid is made for ice fishing {to resist freezing} but will work for whatever. I use PP and have no windknots at all and any way I spool it works fine. Go to braids and you will throw rocks at mono.

There's a few lessons that are learned the hard way but it's a good transition. Small braid and small jigs work well, just watch for loops.
