You can't go wrong with a B'n'M Sam Heaton Super Sensitive in 12 ft.
I am looking to purchase my first rod specifically for crappie. I am looking for a rod for slow trolling jigs and fishing jigs straight down. I was thinking something about 12' but I'm not sure what kind. Any suggestions? Price really doesn't matter. I am looking for something light and sensitive.
Thanks

Sam Heaton again but I prefer the 10ft. Lighter
I prefer 5'-6' rods. Berkley Lightning (IM6) is what I am currently using. About $40 each.

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!
BnM Bucks best ultra light with the rear reel seat, 5 ounces on the 12 footer, extremely sensitive, the Sam Heaton super sensitive is a great pole too, but a few ounces heavier and stiffer, and a middle reel seat, just depends on what you like.
I clever quip fishing ironic statement crappie!
I have rods by the pair from 5 to 12 feet, and I can jig with all of them. While you're looking, look at the St. Croix light action rods, I find the UL too soft for my taste. The BnM Bucks Graphite Jig Pole in 8' is sweet and a feather in the hand. I had vaca this past week and fished several times over brushpiles with one in each hand and 1/8oz jigs on the end. They jump like thunder when the fish hit. Going to try the 10's next time out. The Sam Heatons are real nice too, but I don't have any of them.Yet. There's lots to look at, and you owe it to yourself not to buy until you've handled a lot of rods. One will stick in your mind and the choice will be clear when the time comes. The St. Croix are a bit pricey, and G. Loomis more than that. You can have two rods and reels if you go with a BnM for the same money. Just my two cents, have fun looking.

Skeetbum is right on the B&MS half the price of st. croix and feel just as good and I'm an old loyal st. croix guy, also I gpt a 7ft. guide series ul from gander that I really like but went on there site and don't see anymore.
agreed w/SKEETBUM....go handle em, see what feels good....that being said B'n'Ms customer service, if you need it, is 2nd to none....I also like the sam heatons very well......
