Default New to Board in L.R.

Sorry to bore you with a newbie, but I just found this board. I plan to visit alot.
I used to play a lot of golf, but now I have reverted to my childhood (40 years ago) and mostly crappie fish. My 25 year old son is also deep into crappie fishing. It's not the only passion we share, our other one is TURKEY hunting.

So here I am, I look forward to sharing stories (and maybe a few fishing holes).

For starters, I will share one photo from Friday night (remember the snow?).
This was a Lake Conway fish caught at 9 p.m.. Yes, I said 9 at night.

    2.75 lb.

Welcome , nice fish. Several years ago my brother used to fish @ Highway 89 bridge at night. He passed away and never went there with him at night. Lake Conway is a good lake for all kinds of fish. I live close to Lake Nimrod.

Nimrod was my dad's favorite lake. Many family vacations spent in the cabins which are now gone at the four way. I loved the old store/bait shop.
As low as Nimrod has been, I'm not sure I could fish it without tearing up a lower unit. Also, I probably need some GPS points because it's been a long long time.

Hate to bore everone with old family pic's, but I will post regularly with the current ones.

This one's not a crappie, just a green carp, but it was on a crappie jig with 4 lb test. My son (in the photo) caught it when we were fishing above Des Arc in January.

    7.75 lb.

Hmmmmm. maybe I know it as something else? Looks good. Give me a call sometime if you want to go after a few. I have quite a few spots around central arkansas that can produce heavy stringers! My number is 501-231-3374.
