Kansas walleye fishing is at a peak this year for Central KS, many of our lakes are yeilding 24"-26" limits of walleyes (5 fish) with lotsa throwbacks that are keepable. A few years ago many of our lakes were very low for an extended period of time allowing dense vegetation to inundate our shorelines. Now the benefits are becoming evident, with high volumes of forage fish (which crappie are a part of) the walleyes have kicked the SlimFast diets and are feeding heavily. All of our fish stocks are on a high note, crappies are doing excellent in the western half of the state and adult walleyes have directly benefitted. So if your driving through or live here this is about as good as it can get.
