just wanted to thank beagleman for help with a new sonar, i called him and he was very kind and took his time trying to help decide what to go with, he recommended the hd-7 and it sounds very good, now i gotta find a way to come up with the money it is a little more than i have to spend at this time. thanks for your time michael.

The HDS 7 will make you a great unit. I have the HDS 5 with Lake Insight mapping in my dash at the console and love it. I may try to get the HDS 5 with downscan this spring to replace the 510C at the front of the boat.

cat too bad you don't get to stockton and see one in action. they are the only way to go. warning beagle has a pay per view can in his boat.

buzzy i would really like to see it in action but since i live in n.e. mo., i doubt i can do that. i would however be very willing to put some money in the pay per view can if i could. am pretty sure you or beagle either one wouldn't give me any bad advice, thanks catman.

Catman you should wait till January and buy the new Elite DSI, same size screen,price as the HDS-5 but you will have downscan. Or wait till you have enough for the 7 like Beagle probably stated, you won't be disappointed.
