my condos have been kidnapped,, sad thing is havent gotten a ransom note..i put 6 beautiful condos out on flint creek about 3 weeks ago, went to fish them today , they were nowere in sight...they were in 5 gallon bu8ckets full of concrete 85 to 90 lbs. each.. i thought they might have drifted i searched 100 yards down in the creek channel and nothing,, tva has been pulling alot of water but dang these suckers were heavy..alot of work for nothing,, checked some of my boo stake beds had fish on them not sure what kind their was so much current and wind today couldnt keep my bait on them...so if anyone sees my condos please contact me :D they were about 10 feet tall with a dark green complection last seen wearing black buckets..

12 FEET in a creek channel with large stump fields on both sides, when the waters up they will be in 15 to 16 feet deep water, i guess there was too much current pushing through there, wonder were the will end up lol ,
90 pounds of concrete above water equals around 45 pounds submerged. With a 5 gallon bucket and pvc sticking out there is plenty of areea for even a small current to get it moving. Good luck finding them!

so how much concrete should i use,, starting to think this crappie fishing is way too much work, especially after they float away
The specific gravity of CC is just a hair over 2 so it will weigh half as much in the water. Steel is around 8 so any steel you can add will vastly help the situation. I would suggest some well placed rebar potruding through the sides of the bucket near the bottom prior to the CC to add weight as well as catch and hold them in place when the bucket get tipped by currents. Of course this is theory only to me as we here in AZ cannot legaly do such things as add structure...:rolleyes:
