Crickets
Does anyone use Fisher's Choice canned crickets? I think Bass Pro & Cabelas both have them.
How about Gulp crickets?
Just thought if they worked as good as or better than live crickets (haven't used them before) it would be easier to use and save leftovers for the next week...?

I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Yup! We got some crickets Mon & Tue and caught a mess of bluegill...and a few catfish too. The cats bit equal on crickets and shiners. No crappie in the Tickfaw or Natalbany till it cools a little more, 72 deg now.
Like G3 said, live bait will always be better. Not that you can't catch fish on other things, but if your not fishing a jig or lure, I don't think you can really substitute live bait, and have the same results. To be honest, I don't ever buy crickets anymore....they are a hassle to fish with, wax worms, or wigglers will catch just as many fish if your live bait fishing.
I have used crickets for 30+ years. Bugs are best for buster bluegills.
For bream nothing beats crickets! And it's easy to keep them alive for your next trip.
Crickets? from my limited experience they are one big hassle, and very fragile.
Hey, catchin' fish is easy, finding thems the hard part.
I always used a couple slices of apple.
