    Default Red lake slab

This was the one and only Slab that we were able to manage while on Red lake three weeks ago. Although we only got one slab we still managed to catch 50+ walleyes during the trip. The crappy thing was that we were hearing reports of limits of 15 inchers coming out of there the next weekend

My buddy with the only slab of the trip

There are so many different ways to target eye's. I could go on for hours about it but don't really feel like it. If you have any questions send me a PM with and I will be happy to reply!

Which resort did you get on the lake from?

I too was slab-skunked twice this year. Although you can't complain about catching 50+ walleyes each time you go out. It's a damn shame you can only keep 2 under 17".

Last weekend we caught 53 in 1 day, but it took 4 hours to get one smaller than 19.5". Ho-hum

I have some coordinates for spots on URL, but it all depends on the weather (since the road changes every year).

    Nice fish.

I gotta say, I'm partial to the friendly folks at Rogers Resort. They update their website's fishing report which is nice for a high-tech-redneck like me.

I will be out on Red again (hopefully) this weekend with a real wrecking crew. Electronics galore with this crew. Hopefully, the snow cover will have shifted so I can drive out to the spots I located from 2005-2006.

....and here's to hoping it's not -50 wind chills again. Boy was that fun.
