    Default Truman today

WINDY! Got out at 0700, talked about quittin at 0900 but talked ourselves out of it, we should have listened. Bite was not good (for us anyways), spent practically the whole day trying not to play bumper cars with trees. Tried 2 or 3 spots to get out of the wind, no luck, it found us wherever we went. Finally got off the water around lunch time. I think we caught a half dozen or so crappie and one 2 lb channel cat, didn't keep anything. Then had to deal with trailering in the wind. Oh well.

I feel your pain, I absolutely hate the wind. Good job sticking it out as long as you did and catching what you caught tho.

It was a windy day for sure. I thought about going a few times but decided it would not be worth the trouble. It is wierd how the wind can be blowing out of say the south so you think of 2 or 3 coves you can get into and out of the wind, Then you get there and it is just as bad in there but out of a different direction. It just follows the curves of the bluffs and banks and no where is safe if the wind gets above 15 to 20.

man I hate the wind, would rather chase rats after dark in a locked barn than fish in a big wind, glad you got a few and made it back safe.

Glad you were able to land a few, better luck next time and hopefully it's not as windy.
