    Default Truman 8/19

Charger95 and I hit the lake before daylight, wanted to sink a couple of little oak trees before we went fishing, backing down the ramp and I am riding in the boat and hear this noise, thinking aw crap trailer bearing going out, ends up it was tree branches dragging the payment, whew! dropped off the oaks and went fishing, ended up with one limit with a 1.2 for biggie, 10' fow and they were 8-9' down, white/chart.... we both used that color.... got hot by 10:30 and hung it up, but better luck than we have been having....

Glad it was just the tree limbs and not the bearings.

    Congrats on the limit

Way to go silverside, I haven't been out in awhile, but it sounds like things could start picking up. Congrats.

Sure looks dark out in the picture, don't think I would even attempt to navigate Truman in the dark. Glad you made it out and back safe and sound. Those trees look like some good crappie homes and should provide you with some fish in no time.

At least in the dark you can't see everything you have to avoid up there. It's much scarier when you can see

    Good job on the limit!

I took neighbor out today and boy was it foggy. Put in at 6:00 and fished close waiting for the fog to lift. It didn't, so we idled past Long Shoal marine and stayed close to bank. Got past the bridge and the fog got heavier. Next we saw a wake and I commented "must be someone else out here". Well it was our wake and we had made a complete circle and hit the bridge again. Oh well, we stopped fishing at 10:00 and had 27 keepers. Fished in about 15 FOW and the bigger ones were deep.
