I thought GM was debt free

I guess Ford is still operating on it's own..I saw a commercial a few weeks backs saying GM had paid up and was out of debt with Mr President..Don't guess this is true...

I did not read the links, but saw a report or something the other day showing where Obama was saying that GM had paid back all the debt, but it went on to say that GM actually had not paid it and the tax payers would totally lose so many billions of dollars of the bailout money. I do not remember the specifics of it and do not care. All I know is we taxpayers got the shaft, but that is nothing new

Yep. GM will not repay about 20 billion. Some payback and the paper stock sucks. I want my money back.

His answer? "Well, listen, that is in effect true, but a year ago nobody thought we'd be able to pay this back."
