Now with Winter just around the corner, Lets Talk Gloves... For the fall and winter fishing is second to none. I just can't wait... but that said what kind of gloves do you wear. I've been putting the heating pads in my gloves to keep my fingers warm.... What do you use

I fish every weekend year round and have struggled to find a pair of gloves that are not too cumbersome. I put in one day when it was 12 degrees and strangely, I had the lake to myself. :D I wear wool gloves when motoring out and sometimes will keep them on but settled on a hand warmer like the NFL QB's use during winter (hangs around your waist) that I got at BPS, and throw a few heating pads in it. Fishing live bait makes it real tough to wear gloves.

I can't hardly wear gloves while fishing either. I put the rods in the rod holders and keep my hands in my pockets when I'm not baiting up or fighting a fish. I'll swap hands for the remote on the TM.

I like a glove just to keep the cold air off my hands. I can't use gloves when setting up or taking a fish off. I do keep a small heater going to keep my hands warm.

I fish all winter too, don't see many jet skiers at that time of year.:D

Last winter we had shore ice out to 20' deep water, nearly unheard here in 'Bama... I've only seen it one other time here on the big lakes.

I don't wear the gloves, but I do wear a floatation suit (it has nice warm pockets too!)

That's a good suit GCD. We had thick ice on our lakes last winter too, don't see much here either.

keep several pair of jersey gloves in the boat, chang when they get wet, also use the hand warmers, bought a pair of the under armour gloves last year but it was late in the season and Ice over kept me off the lakes, but I think they will be fine. I spray a little camp dry on the jersey gloves and it helps turn the water away. the gloves stay dryer longer.
