These guys :
The ones that are supposed to imitate this particular minnow (Brook Silverside):
Well .... I've "tricked out" a few of them .... and here's the results:
OK - here's the deal ..... the minnow on top (red) has a piece of red elec tape inserted - the second down has a cig wrapper seal (light gold) - third down has a dark gold piece of candy wrapper - fourth down has a piece of alum foil - bottom one is "original" from the package (for close comparison).
I'm not the least bit "artistic", and these were just something to play around with. I may even "dye" one or two others ... just to see how they look. And I may try and put a black stripe in one of them (blk elec tape ??) just to round out the color choices. I've also thought of putting a small piece of red elec tape on the front end of a piece of alum foil, and inserting that - giving the look of gills and body flash.
I hope to put these "secret weapons" to good use, come Springtime ... thinking a 1/32oz jighead, or possibly even just a longshanked hook "texas rigged". I'll have to experiment some more, with that idea. ......cp

Pappy, go to the gift wrap department and pick up some holographic ribbon for another look.. That should give you flash from multiple directions.
Then you can wrap one up real "purdy" and send it to me. ;-) - Roberta

Real men troll for crappie (Here Fishy Fishy !)
Try coloring one of them with a black permanent marker. My buddy did this with some art. grubs that we use for salt water fishing and they worked great. It will probably turn them a kind of purple, that is what they did to his anyway.
Good Luck,
Shadow

SMILE- A curve that can set a lot of things straight!
CP they look awesome and I would love trying them on a drop shot rig. Maybe infuse a little salt or soak them in shad oil over night. I can think of a lot of ways to catch fish on these.
Good luck!
CP....could you do me a favor and post a pic with a ruler in it so I can get an idea of their size. they look awesome! How did you do the surgery? thanks...smedley
