    Default Nebraska football

Nebraska has been my favorite team since Bob Devany and Tom with all the championships.I hate to see them go thanks mostly to Texas and their greed.
I remember the great games between Oklahoma and Nebraska and it doesn't get any better than that.I think they got screwed in the last game with Texas and it was all about money.I just live about 20 miles from KU.I also remember in the Orange bowl when Penn State and Nebraska played. If Tom had just kicked a field goal at the end for a tie he would have shared the Championship that year. But he got a lot of respect form me when he went for two and missed. old timer

Changing conferences they will go from 160 mill to over 240 mill a season. As they say money talks and BS walks. The good ole days are gone for now. but will be getting back soon. EB

It's to bad the original Big 8 is breaking up, lots of memories. Most (if not all)
are "public" schools and the money part is way out of control, especially when
they pay college coaches in the millions. I wonder why tuition costs are so
expensive, I think it it's our new "moral" alignments, kinda like going to an
amusement park to buy fishing tackle (ex. Cabelas, Bass Pro). As long as
people continue to buy from them the "rides" will only get costlier. I buy as
much tackle from hometown makers as possible (so they can help pay for
college). Oh yea, and the Kansas fishing part, trust me, we are still fishing
and you would be to if you knew how smoking hot our lakes are. I really do
think Kansas has the best fishing overall in the lower 48. I do some guiding
and if you would like to experience and rate our fishing with me, send me a
pm. I am a multi-species angler specializing in crappie and the "eyes", but I
fish for hybrids, stripers, catfish, whites and even some smallies.

I may have to give you a hollor later on Crappiedoc. Those are my 2 favorite fish to fish for. I had a trip lined up to go to Kerwin a few years ago and then the lake levels dropped way down and we cancelled out.
I am going up to St. Criox River at the end of the month and try for some Walleye.
