Default Smithville Friday = SLABVILLE????? 6/11/10

On water at 9am off by 1pm starting air temp 75 and cloudy ending conditions sunny and HOT (90). Flipped trees for first hour and nothing so I found a spot in about 12 fow with brush close to a creek channel that held a few small ones and a couple of small keepers. Made a move up the river and found some nice ones in 10 fow about 7 feet down. Wish I found it sooner because the WIND blew me off the spot. Missed two or three and lost a couple due to the wind. When I did catch one, by the time it was in the live well I would be 30 yards off the spot so I left.

All in all a nice day on the lake!

    May try again tomorrow.

    Doesn’t a real fish look huge next to a 9 ¼ incher!

One jig all day and they tore the heck out of it (SUPERGLUE).

Nice Job. Wonder if this is a side-effect of the die off a couple summers ago. Hope this trend continues.

We caught more and bigger fish last year. The numbers have been hard to find so far this year. Over 12 inch limits was had by alot last year.
May all your live wells be full.
