Default What Do You Call It When Someone Catches.....

three 17-inch crappie on the same day? Eighteen-year-old Sheila Henson and her dad, Ray, drove over 600 miles yesterday from Omaha, NE to fish with me today. They've fished with me before and taken home some wallhangers but Sheila put it on her dad today with the three biggest crappie. Two were 17 and 17.25-inches and each weighed 2-pounds even and the third was 17.5-inches and weighed 2-pounds, 1-ounce.

    Here are two of them:

She let her dad hold one along with a big black crappie that he caught:

And here's the rest of their keepers:

They were all caught on Rosy Red Minnows or Shiners fished about 10-feet deep under slip-floats over Bamboo Crappie Condos and Brush Piles. We released another 40 or so D-fish, bream and small bass.

They biggest one is "going on the wall" and should make a very nice mount for sure. I thought a "School Mount" with all three of them would be nice!
    FISH ON!

Had the occasion to do that once and it was something that I will never forget. Right place, right time...something that will stay with both of them forever. Couldn't help but make it a great day for everyone involved!!

    Kudo's!!

On top of that, it surely gives you a sense of satisfaction, knowing that you made their day!!
Sacred Heart of Mary, pray for us now, and at the hour of our death. AMEN

I call it a good thing this amazing young woman lives in Nebraska :D:D

She sure makes the local boys look a bit amateurish with her whopper catching powers.

    Congrats to all involved.
Quit complaining about the color, just pull up your skirt and fish! -- snagged
