    Default What's up at LOZ?

Tons of Smithville and Stockton threads (I'm not complaining), but boy-o-boy, things have been quiet here about LOZ. What's up there (bugs/baker/others)? We did great down there in mid April and I'm eager to get back down there this coming weekend. Any reports or updates are welcome!?!?!?!?

was down there last wk end, and between 4 of us we probaly caught 150. Sad part is we only had 26 keepers. 90% of the crappie were between 8" and 91/2". We fished shallow and up to 20 ft deep in the gravois, just never could figure the better fish out. Good luck.

The weekend was slow. Fished the mid osage and mainly just managed to exercise small fish.

Fished the LOZ around the 1 mile marker two weeks ago.........ssslllooowww. The best bite was off of the boat dock in 15-20 ft of water. One nice 14 in the rest were small males. Slapbusters jigs caught more fish than live bait. Water was really clear.

Good luck down there this weekend!

Scott: just got back from LOZ. Fished Thursday through this morning. Bite was slow Thursday,FRiday, but got better Saturday and yesterday was our best day. Caught them in Party Cove in five to ten feet of water. Most fish were eight and one half inches long. Fat,but short. Caught 72 fish in all but only eleven keepers. Moved out to deeper water and caught white bass. Caught eighteen of those, all keepers. Fried up nice. We fished the left bank as you are going in to pc. Used black and silver sparkle slabbuster jig. Good luck and let me know how you do....................ck
