Some nice fish there.
Twelve-year-old Cooper Griffin fished with me today along with his brother, dad and Grand-daddy. Everyone caught a lot of fish but Cooper "stole the show" with these two:
The white was 17.75-inches and the black was 16.5-inches and they each weighed 2-pounds, 2-ounces. I told him there are a lot of Crappie Fishermen out there that have fished for years and never caught two that big - at least not on the same day.
I think he's "ruent"!
Here's the rest of our catch (except for a dozen or so "D-fish" and "Suicides" that didn't make the picture).
We also released another 50 or 60 that didn't measure up. Other than suicides, we weren't keeping any blacks under 9-inches or whites under 9.5-inches once we knew we were going to get a mess.
I really enjoy "Three Generation" trips. There's just something special about seeing families having a good time together and making memories.
Some nice fish there.
