Default Does Vicious panfish Hi-Vis spook fish?

I jigged the docks late yesterday afternoon using, for the first time, Vicious panfish 6 lb Hi-Vis yellow. It's great for line watching, but I wonder about the effect on fish. I didn't start getting bites until after dark and wonder if the line visibility was a factor in not getting bites earlier. I'll run a test next time with poles with and without a flouro leader but otherwise the same.

What's been your experience with high vis lines?

I've use hi Vis Stren Gold for ever and it doesn't affect the fish bite. I think I catch more fish because I can see the line better Vertical jigging is all I do

Look at the multi colored jigs we use to catch Crappie. If those things don't spook 'em, a little gold or green line isn't gonna scare 'em! :D

I'd be more worried about knot failure using that Vicious line than whether or not the line itself is going to spook 'em...but that's just me

i am using that exact same line, and have fished water from chocolate milk to glass clear visibilty to 8 feet plus, and have seen no difference compared to clear line or floro. If i were gonna be fishing alot of very clear water, i may consider it, but under normal water conditions with visibilty from 0-3 feet, i havent found it a problem. Actually, in that clear water, it disappears or dulls in the first couple of feet, at least to my eyes with polarised shades.

also as a side note, have played around with carp with it, extremely spooky fish, and they dont seem bothered by it, even in inches of water.

I used to worry about hi-vis lines and now use vicious hi-vis. I stopped worrying about the fish seeing the line a while back from all the people that use it. Mr. Crappie uses hi-vis line all the time and he says it scares them right into his boat. lol

Seems like the past consensus by folks who have used both is the hi vis line doesn't spook them.

I dosen't make any difference. I use high vis line for everything. I can see the line better that way and make quicker hook sets.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
