I always use 1/8th to 1/4 oz jigs with yellow or chartreuse twister tails and tipped with minnows if needed. You can also use a walking sinker setup with nightcrawlers or troll crank baits.

I am going to the Spring River next week to fish for Trout and Walleye. I know how to fish for Trout but not Walleye. Can anyone help me with this? I don't even know how to rig for them. Thank for all your help.

took the words out of my mouth fatman.....here in wv the top walleye producing place is 10miles from here.....and night crawler is how they do it....
It depends on the lake and conditions. Tell us more about the water. Grab some 2.5 inch berkley gulp minnows and some 1/8 and 1/4 unpainted jigheads. Also have some minnow hard baits like Rapala/thunderstick/bomber/yozuri in a local bait pattern. I suggest calling a local tackle shop and asking what they get local walleyes on. Sometimes the Chart or yellow twisters are the ticket, but they often want a more natural color. Have both.
There are differences between night and day fishing as well. If I could only have 2 baits right now they would be the Gulp and a silver Rapala Maxrap.
Here are a few lure suggestions. All around good walleye lures.

Good things come to those who bait.
a few huh grizz? lol nice looking baits
Sorry, I get over enthusiastic about lures occasionally. If you had one good shallow stickbait, one good diver and the gulp the walleyes wouldn't have a chance. I'm particularly fond of live koppers and thundersticks. A lot of people ignore thundersticks because they have been around so long, but I have literally caught thousands of walleyes on them. More than any other bait I've used times 10 over the years. They are cheap and durable to boot.
