    Default The Rock was tough today


    Fished from about 8:30 til about 7:00 and only put 5 in the boat all day. Two 14's and three 15 inchers.
    Lost the biggest Crappie I ever seen! Got her to the top of the water and the hook ripped out. She was at least 17 inches and that is very conservative! I've caught a couple of 16's and she put them to shame!
    Caught a 4 foot Gar on an ultra light and had close to a ten minute battle! Thank goodness for Power Pro braid:D

    Not a bad day for the Rock. Nice quality fish just hard to come by. Hope we have a good spawn this year again we need to get more fish in the lake. Sorry to hear about the one that got away looks like I might have to fish that area more. I think Kit papermouth got a 2 1/2 pound crappie there last year.
