I've been up there the last two Saturdays; the fishing is tough right now (at least for me)! Caught a few dinks but it should steadily improve. Water temp Saturday was 56-57but the upper half of the lake is pretty dingy. The fish seem scattered in open water near structure.

I fished up there a couple of hours last Saturday and only caught one fish and it was suspended out in 30 ft of water about 12 ft deep. Just like Wohlfy said, they were scattered and not related to any structure. The lake was dingy and 55-57 degrees.

I think I saw you again up there last Saturday? The wife and I were in the Alumacraft Magnum 175. Still a little ways to go I think but it should get better!

Pony does have an endless supply of dinks, but I'm sure MDC would really like for a number of folks to get their limits....crappie nuggets.

On the northside of Pony is Buffalo which has better crappie.

There is also Grindstone on 36....not sure about the size.

    Good luck!
