    Default Monroe 4/11

Me and my boy Jeremiah went to Monroe on Sun 4/11 and look at what we caught up by crooked creek. This fish was 16.5 and weight 2lbs. We caught 10 keepers and hundreds of dinks. Water hit 63 and was muddy.http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/z...ayton6/015.jpg

Great picture of your son with a big crappie, jaypay. It was a beautiful afternoon but boy that water sure got muddied up. Monroe seems to be giving up a few big ones if you can find them. What baits / techniques were you using ? Personally, the muddy water is a turn off for me and I find it difficult to catch crappie and gills in. Tossing jigs doesn't seem to work for me in those conditions.

Nice fish Japayton..It was nice to meet you and your son on such a beautiful day. I ended up catching a few nice ones myself but not a 16.5" for sure.
