    Default Smithville 4/3

On a bright note, I finally got my Christmas present. I've got my Hummingbird 898c Side Imaging Fish Finder. Man I love toys! Gotta say I had more fun playing with this thing that I did fishing. This thing has some neat features.

I'm going to post my reports this year with an interactive Google Map. I will include the link to Google Maps that you can copy and paste my coordinates into (Control + C for copy, Control + P for paste). Most of the spots are the main lake brush piles notated in the map as a green arrow. I think this will help the guys without GPS. It'll kinda give you a bearing of where the brush piles are in relation to the shore. I've got a mapping program that displays lake contours (first image). If anyone wants a contor of the locations just PM me your email address and I'll be glad to send one to you.

I also included some of the side images. The second image is the brush pile at the Little Platte Marina. The third is the brush pile at the Golf Course. The fourth is the brush pile on the Southeast cove of the W Bridge.

On a side note, I did find a ladder that fell in the water at the Little Platte Marina docks. I wish I saved that picture to share.

Let me know what you think. Glad to hear any suggestions. If you need help with the map or have questions, let me know. Hope to get out tomorrow or Monday and to try it all over again. Think I'll hit the lake above Trimble Lake around the Roberts Branch area. This area is pretty shallow, warmed up fast last year, and was real good for me last spawn.

    Thanks...Very cool!

I fished some jigs tippied with nightcrawlers, for a just a hour, for walleye tonight. Let's just say that my cigar was better than the fishing!

For some reason yeasterdays report got cut in half. My report wasn't in my post. Well, not much too report. Only caught 4 dinks yesterday. Sorry for the non-report that was posted yesterday. I'll do better next time.

Those side images are great. I wonder if Bass Pro has lay away. Let see at $25 a week, how long would it take to buy one.
