    Default Eagle 320

I haven't checked out the 480, but unless you need a GPS the 320 will do anything you want to do. I would imagine for less $$ tahn the 480. Check it out at the eagle web site. You can download the software and run it right on your computer. That way you will have a better idea of what you want. :D

Eagle makes two 480's the Fishmark with no GPS and the Fish Elite with GPS. The Elite is $150.00 higher. The 480 refers to Pixels. Pixels are what gives the sonar picture definition. The 480 has 160 ( 50 % more ) Pixels than the Eagle 320.
The Fishmark is $149.00 on BPS site and the 480 is $199.00. Other than Pixels the specs are identical.

As to the question of a sonar GPS combo, here is a link from some time back. Mostly it is persoal preference.

I run a 480 on my console and love it. Went with it because of the pixels. I fish a lot of brush piles and it has great definition for that.

Owned em both....For the most part... both will do the same thing. I never had any problems locating brush with either. Unless they are side -by-side.. you would not know the difference. For the money... look at the Garmin 240 or 250. I now run the LMS 480 GPS/Sonar. Only problem with the eagle is the connectors into the unit are kinda cheesy...

    Default Eagle vs Garmin

Anyone run both and can give some input about how the 2 compare? Service etc. I have always owned Eagles but am thinking about a new unit for the trolling motor and wondering what to get. I have a Garmin GPS 72 which I love.

I own two 320's, one in the front and one gps unit by my console. I love them both! Without them I would'nt catch as many fish ! I highly recommend either the 320 or the 480, but the 320 will do what you want for less money.
Bass pro shops had the best price I saw for those units.

I have two of the 480s in my boat. They are great units.

If you've ever heard of Academy Sports, they sell Eagle depth finders
cheaper than BPS. They just built A new one about 45 miles from where
I live. It's in Macon, GA and it's a great place to shop for any fisherman.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't know what they stock in the stores but their website doesn't list an Eagle 480. The Eagle Fishmark 320 Fish Finder$149.63 Every Day

    BPS is $149.9938-510-638-00FISHMARK 320320x320 PIXELS

    Cabela's is $169.99 with temp.

Of course temp is standard and is on all 320 units.

Academy sure carries a wide variety of outdoor stuff.
