i need a better way to transport my long poles in the boat, any ideas or pics thanks
I use the velcro rod holder straps on the front and rear decks and lay the poles down each side of the boat along the gunnels...

I've been breaking mine down and sticking them in the rod/gun box, but that's beginning to get old. The last trip or two I've laid them down in the floor with the tips up under the deck. Sunday evening or whenever my last time out will be, I'll break them down and put back in the box for the week.
When i am going from home to lake or back i break them down and put them in the storage box. The lakes i fish is a hour or better away. When i am at the lakes for the weekend i just use these straps to hold them running up and down the lake or driving to ramp to ramp. They work great.

12ft 2 pc thinking about making a holder where the will stand up in the boat ,and creek if you read this do you know the model number of the box you keep your cranks in and how many will they hold, thanks
This has worked great for me with rods up to 16' long at the lake.
I break them down and put them in the rod locker between times.

As far as running up and down the lake I strap them to my rod holders.... hi-tek holders. I fastened a 24" bungee to the cross bar. I put pipe insulation in between the individual holders. I stand the rods up between the holders and pull the bungee across the t-bar and fasten it to the other side. I then screwed a velcro strap to the upright post(screwed so it will always be there) I then strap the bottom of the rods..4-to each rod holder at the mid-way point so they don't jump up and down. has worked good so far.
As far as transporting I bought some nylon sleeves to put over them, it keeps them from tangling up and breakage.
