I have the Map76 and had to buy the hotspot software. Well worth the extra money.

I like the software on the main computer also. On them cold winter days it is nice to look at the lakes and find areas to fish when the weather is nicer.

Want to save some money? Find someone with the software and a CD-burner and make a deal you both can live with.

I've been looking into getting a GPS also. If you fish alot of different states and want lake maps for those lakes, Garmin has set up their maps the best. If you fish IL, WI, IA, and MN you can buy the hotspots map for the Central states.(1 MAP @ approx. $100) But the other brands like Lowrance and Magellan, you may have to buy more than one map (2-3 maps @ approx. $100 ea = $200-$300). That really made me stop looking at the other brands. I haven't bought one yet, but I would recommend buying a Garmin based on the fishing maps alone.

Yes you buy the CD and it comes with all the East Coast. Ms River East. Shows all the road, Creeks branchs, Lot of detail and well worth it.
Wish i had known you were looking at it. AS I had it on mine that day at Yellow creek.
