my marine mechanic said not to use sea foam, that it is mostly all alcohol. And since everyone is supposed to be staying away from ethanol blends, why would you be putting more alcohol into your motor.

Most of our gas has ethanol in it. We can't stay away from it. I have and 18 year old Johnson that loves it. Sea Foam in the gas, Deepcreep to fog my carbs and cylinders in the winter. No more blocked jets from sitting. No more costly mechanic's for me. I use it in everything I have. Works for me. Just trying to help.

A station by me has 91 octane with no ethanol. I've been running that in all my two stroke equipment, as well as 4wheeler and lawnmower.

Seafoam and Stabill in my tank all the time, never had an issue. Seafoam also has lubricants to help with internal carb parts.

I'll have to ask my mechanic if it just the newer engines that it shouldn't be used in. I do use stabill and have not had a problem. Wish the goverment would stay out of our lives a little more. Would be nice to get fuel without ethanol. I was told not to use higher octane fuel in a 2 stroke. Burns to hot.

Need to be talking to "the government". They need guidance.
Ethanol is all about big farmers and their lobby, nothing more. Your taxes are paying to make it.

I use Stabil, yet to try Seafoam.
