Generally it's not the temp, it's the light that causes line to degrade. If they're in a rod locker, the line will be fine. Keep 'em in the dark. Course, you could have alot of line memory if you store too long.
I spooled up my reels with some Trilene Xl early than usual this year. They're in the garage were it stays between 35*-45* will this cause the line to weaken before spring gets here ? What's the best conditions to store mono and keep it fresh ? -Thanks

Fished out said it all ... the biggest killer to mono is ultra violet light rays ...

yes sun is a killer. if you keep your line in a cool dry place out of the sun . it will last for years. i have a jumbo spool of trilene xt solar i have had since the early 1980's. it is still as strong as ever.
yea I kept mine in the garage and guess what? I went to go fishing and the line was all over in little peices. I had to scratch my head, mice. the mile brackish water left enough salt on the line the mice chewed it up.
Yep in the dark and keep em cool and out of the sunlight and you should be fine!!
