I would say the Ranger a 19 foot boat with a 200 is a nice combo. the X5 is too small to fish the big water of Stockton and the X9 with a 150 is way under powered.

My rule of thumb is never buy a boat that's a 1/4 the price of you home.

From my experience with both brands, the Ranger is the better way to go.
The Nitro's are sleds, meaning they aren't the fastest thing out there, and a lot of so-called slow boats pass them. IF that's your thing.
They are also known as wet boats, meaning they will get you wet in "heavy" water/wind.
The Ranger isn't far behind in the areas mentioned above, BUT, and it is a big one for most, when you decide to resell the boat, you will get more of your investment back with it vs the Nitro.
Also that one nitro is way under powered with the 150 on it.
