    Default Smithville Sunday


    Wondering if the ice will be gone after 57 on Saturday and 45 on Sunday - at least enough to launch and fish a little Sunday afternoon before the cold comes back in?!?!?

    If so, going to try to get the new boat out (well, new to me at least!) Bought it in December and have yet to get it out! Have it all cleaned up, the electronics updated, hitch put on the car... just need to go!!! I am a little scared as I have never backed a boat in, launched/loaded (any tips ).

    Guess I gotta just do it and learn on the fly! Hope I can get it into the water soon

    Drove across dam this morning and there was no open water ,think your going to have to wait a little longer.

    The only open water is around the Camp Branch marina. One ramp there is open too, you just can't go too far.
