Default Thinking of buying a Minn Kota

I have a motorguide now, 24 volt,74 lbs. thrust and it does a great job but I want a saltwater model and I like the new I-bot system. Anybody tried one of these yet? Anybody have any input? I am thinking of getting a riptide with 80 lb thrust. Can't afford a new boat so I think I'll spend a little on this one.

Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!

You can never go wrong with Minn Kota. I'm looking at upgrading to the new GPS version.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Yeah the I-pilot, But if you have the I-pilot I don't see where you would need the auto pilot feature. I need to do a lot of research, I have been to there web site but it wasn't very helpful as far as what the difference was between the Riptide SP and the ST. There is a local dealer in Graham, I will check with them before I buy.

I have the I-pilot and tryed out for the first time last weekend. After a few seconds of getting used to it it works great. Its worth the price for the spot lock, the other stuff is just a bonus.

My buddy has a 5 year old 24v 70lb thrust Minn Kota Riptide/autopilot in excelent condition for sell. He stores his boat inside so the only time it has been exposed to the elements is when he used it. I'm not sure what he's asking for it, but somebody could get a real good trolling motor for a good price.

    Default Cabelas

I got a good deal on a reconditioned minn kota edge at Cabelas. They have a few of the other models in reconditioned too if anybody is looking. I saved about $100 on mine and couldn't be happier. As far as I am concerned the thing is brand new.
