    Default Ahh Winter.

There is 18 inches of snow on the ground and 18 inches of ice on the water. I don't like ice fishin and it's gonna be a long haul till open water is back. I know I know I'm a big baby winter whiner. I just love the open water and warm breezes and all I can think about are the sounds and smells of the water, the sights of the lake, and the feel of my fishing gear in my hands with a scrappy fish on the other end. Bliss.

    Any other commiserators out there?
Good things come to those who bait.

I can relate Grizz. Here in Maine we have the same conditions. I'm out ice fishing, but I eagerly await that open water Spring fishing....make the best of it and catch some crappie! :D
