Started last night, and now have around 5" or so. I feel for some of guys that have got way worse than us. Can't work in this mess, sitting around the house, this is about the time of year cabin fever really sets in. Guess I'll re organize my tackle again! Just keep telling yourself spring is right aroudn the corner.

Most of Central Illinois, I don't know if I am going to be able to get to my ice fishing spots. :(

It's silly but the schools closed last night in anticipation of the blizzard that was forecasted for Georgia... Not a single flake fell from the skys...Major panic sets in as the residents here dont know how to survive in the snow...It's a little embarassing to see the chaos over nothing:o

Plenty snow here, just glad it's at someone else's house, and it can stay there.

....but some people have the right idea.

We have about 25 inches on the ground and to get down to -19 tonight. We are to get more snow tonight and tomorrow. According to the Farmers Almanac we are to get a 20+ snow storm before the end of January. The snow that is on the ground now will be here until the middle of Spring now. We have 5-6ft piles from the snowplows on our street now. I must say that we do have an excellent City Administrater, and have the best snow removal plan of any city around us. When it starts snowing the plows start going past my place and will run about 10 times past my house at least during the night. That is the advantage of living by a school, and having a few ex city employees as neighbors doesn't hurt either. I clean about 10 of my neighbors driveways for them, along with about a 1/2 mile of sidewalk. I can't ice fish anymore but can run my snow blower with a cab on it. I also use my mower with a blade on it. EB

Yeah and they closed school for two days! When I was in Akron, it was not uncommon to get 12-15 inches at a time.

No snow here in California.I live in the Central Valley;we just get a load of fog. From time to time the fog gets so dense it hangs around for days at a time. I pass the time rearranging my tackle hoping that spring will be here in three months.

We have 4-6 inches in my area with drifting and temperatures hovering just over zero. After seeing the posts above, my whining is over!

We've got about 2 feet on the ground that will be there until spring. -4 tonight. We haven't had a day above 32 degrees yet this year!
Kinda makes those 90 degree days in August seem OK.
