Don't know where to buy them but if U know any farmers or can get to some farm roads easy U could pick some along country roads of trees & ground, U speakin of those big apple looking kinda stinky things one sees growing on hedge row trees right? Also got any state parks near U?

    Horse apples.

Useta be a lot of horse apple trees around here. They kinda disappeared like the beam worm trees. Too much of a nuisance for the younger folks. They just cut them down so they don't haveta clean up the mess. I guess they were replaced by the Tiki torches.

As soon as I get down to our cabin in OK I'll pick some up for you and put them in the mail. Go right by one mile of them 2 miles from the lake.

those trees are called osage orange, and the heartwood is 48 lbs. a square foot, it is yellow to orange in color, and the indians would make bows out of it. gnarly ole trees and thorny too.
