I also like using pinks in the winter months
I gotta say, down here in the South when the water gets muddy from the winter rain and mud.. pank (pink) is a real crappie taker! It kicks chartreuses butt at least 4 to 1!!! Hot pank or glow pank will really kill the the craaawpee this time of year!!!... am I the only one that has noticed this?
Up north where they have ice and the rain and wind doesn't matter so much... maybe not... but down in Dixie, if you wanna catch the crawwpee... you should really be using the color pank!!!
It's the big phat phemale fish we are targeting... and they love the color pank doncha know!... the male phishes, who gives a hoot?
To all the fisher dudes that feel that pank will reduce their masculinity.. you're absolutely correct... don't use pank.. it'll make you a Pansy... and leave less fish for those of us that do use............bubblegum!:D

caught some fish on pink today, caught some on chartruese too. I have done well on pink even when the water is clear sometimes.
I always have some pink in my spread.
A very hot color for pulling Bandits.

Black/Pink tube with pink crappie nibble and a safety pin spinner in muddy water does the trick. Black/chart and black/red doesn't work at all for whatever reason but all black comes in second. I use them long line trolling and I never get dinks on them, smallest fish maybe 10" but usually 12" and up. Without the spinner I do get dinks...
