Louisiana boy wants to fish Grenada.

Howdy guys,

I been seeing allot of evidence that Grenada is one of the best crappie lakes in the country. I live in Shreveport, La so it would not be too much of a drive for me to come camp out there for a few days.

I was wondering if you guys could tell me a good time of year and place to start. I am better at deep-water fishing then shallow in cover. I like slow trolling a spider rig. So I was thinking maybe I could hit them before the spawn and avoid some of the crowd. But most the good catches I see are during Feb or March.

I recommend you try the MS Wildlife and Fisheries forum to get info on
Grenada, mdwfp.com then go to fisheries, then Fisheries forum.
Not real active right now but still way more attn from N. Ms fishermen
than the MS site on Crappie.com.
I like the Crappie. com , Lousiana site because I have a camp on MS oxbow south of Vicksburg on the La. side.
