Default oologah crappie report from past weekend

well i fished oolgah fri,sat and sun. all three days were awesome, each day i limited out. i only keep those went 10 inches pluse, the avg crappie was 12-13 inches long. i was fising around 20ft-25ft around brush pile, and i notice if i went any shallower then 17 ft i would only catch small little crappie. all my crappie came off live med size minnows. the water temp was 61 degrees and the wind blowing around 15-20 on the avg.

Excellent! Nice to see the good ones are hitting again. What areas where you fishing? I might go this next Saturday weather permitting (wind).

Did you get into McAlester Ammo Depot? I have always heard how great it is down there. My bow has a 1/4' of dust on it. I am waiting for quial/pheasant season to open. I have two of the best dogs around. It's been so long since I fished Fort Gibson. I might have to ask my wife if she wants to visit her family who lives in the Hulbert area. I could drag the boat down there for a day and take one of the inlaws out. Or is it the outlaws in? Heh

I used to have 37 acres if some of the best deer country in the area. My house was just above Ranger Creek, 3/8 mile east of 4 mile road. Biggest buck I have ever seen was on my land. I called him down with a fawn bleat but never got a decent shot. Seen him once more that season, but he had seen me first and was doing the belly crawl behind a deadfall. That is the last I ever saw him. No one ever got him, or found his sheds for all I know. He was an old grey ghost when I first saw him, non typical and rack that had to spread out close to 38". He was beautiful just to watch.

I guess the outlaws, are my inlaws. It's like a get out of jail free card when I am in the area.
