    Default Should of known

I should have known the dang weather would turn nice after I winterized the boat for the winter. I got it all tucked in and ready for it's long winters nap. It got to 71 here this afternoon and sunny. I will just fish off of the dock now until the ice sets on. Unless one of my buddies still has his boat ready to go yet. We have already gotten a 5 inch snow about the first week in October. That will make for a very long winter. EB

    .

It just goes to show you, EB, you can not out guess the weather. I almost winterized my boat a couple of weeks ago. I'm glad I didn't, the weather is great now and I intend to take it out tomorrow to teach a few crappie to retrieve (I toss a jig and they return it to the boat).

Good luck tomorrow: I may regret doing it so early yet. EB

I toss a jig and they return it to me! So all this time it's been a game for the crappie? Now if I could just teach them to been in a certain spot at a certain time I could really enjoy the game:D

I am glad we got the good weather, and hope we get lots of snow this year. I make some extra coin plowing, more the merrier.

I plan to winterize the boat this weekend, if I get the garage cleaned out in time.

I use to not winterize mine until the ice got on the lakes and I couldn't get the boat on them. I just can't handle the cold like I use to and have to pick my days of fishing. I only got to go fishing about 5 times this year and that is unreal for me. I use to fish about 150 days a year. I still got enough in that 5 trips for our annual fish fry tho. EB

I guess you adapt to your location. I have never winterized my boat. Also, I do more fishing in the winter than in the summer.
