I bought a clarus rod last year. It has quickly became my favorite rod I own.
Man im in heaven. I have found the rod of all rods. I bought a 6'2" shimano clarus in medium light. The tip is very soft but it has alot of backbone for gettin slabs out of wood and docks. I can cast and shoot with it more accuratly than with shorter rods. Just a flick of the wrist and the tip loads with a 1/16 oz. jig. It is made for 1/16 to 5/16 oz. lures and 4 to 10 pound line. If you are lookin for a great jiggin rod for casting and shootin but dont want a ultra lite this rod will serve you well.
I have caught probobly 200 fish on this rod ranging from bluegills and crappie to bass and one huge carp, and it is the finnest all around lite spinning rod I have ever owned. Not to stiff and not a limp noddle. Also very sensitive.

I found them on the net for 69.99
I bought mine for 60$ at Gander Mountain. I tried every crappie rod in the store and really did like the Clarus the best even compared to more expensive all stars and falcons.
Will look next time I get the chance as I don't think that is high at all for a good rod. I pay more than that for most of mine (sometime way more).

I paid about 50 bucks for mine but they are about 70 most places. The thing that is great is they have the fiji concept guides on them {casts great} and have a LIFETIME warrenty. A kistler rod is 3 times as much and the warrenty isnt as good and will cost you to get it replaced. Lots of models to choose from. The 6'2" is my fav but I also have a 6" ul. For sunnies. Love em both.
