You folks using Hummingbird sidefinders need to go to their site. They have developed "Down Looking SI". It will be ready for down loading in Jan. The pictures are really great. Now there won't be a blank strip below your boat.

After a lot of research on the two, I have decided to go with Lowrance. I love how easy they have made upgrades with their network system. Always liked Lowrance and almost bought HM side image early this year but decided to wait. The Lowrance side image + down image made me glad I waited. Anyone else using HDS and how do you like it?

Got a HDS 5 at the consule and HDS 7 up front. Can't wait until side-down image comes out. So far I have no complaints.

Welcome to the site. Just might have to take you up on that "try before you buy" offer. I am still learning Stockton myself, but thanks to a lot of very helpful folks on here I am getting better.
