I'm looking to a get a new GPS and was wondering which one would be the best to go with. Right now I'm using a Garmin 152. I would really like to have one that holds anywhere from a 1000 to 3000 waypoints, 12 volt system, has a compass page (preferably a magnetic compass), map capabilities, and a good size color screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just give me your thoughts and let me know what you think is the best.

Thanks canepole.I was beginning to think I wasn't going to get any input back. Crappie.comers can always depend on you. Its funny you suggested the Garmin 276c. Me and my boss have been looking at that unit today on the computer. We were wondering if it would be a good unit or not. I've looked at the Garmin 400 series but I didn't like the units mariner view to navigate with. Im already use to the compass page on my 152 and kind of wanted to stick with that option to get me to my waypoints. The part you said about making your own maps is interesting. Think the 276c will be my next unit. Are you still around Springville? Might need to contact you to get some lessons!
Thanks again.

I'm not in the loop on these right now, but does Garmin make a unit that would be a good car GPS, like NUVI line, and also a boat/fishing friendly unit?
I have a 176C. Wondering about road maps for it?
Prolly get a Nuvi for the car by Christmas.
Dayton
I am not sure Dayton. I just use my 276. It has both auto and boat(?) capabilities. I can't understand the talking lady inside the unit.:o
