Default Clinton Lake Rock Creek 9/16/09

Tried out the creek yesterday, went past the logjam at least 3/4 of a mile. Water is in good shape, 75 degrees, few leaves are starting to fall. Used minnows, around stucture, now the catching part. One legal, five dinks, I know some of you do not agree with me, but DAMM EAST WIND. I just do not catch fish when the wind is out of the EAST. My boat is going to set in the garage until the wind changes. I will be working on electrial problem.

wind just changes where they are. lately a lot of east winds but been fishing other than usual places and catching fish. fish are where they can eat...east wind moves bait to other areas. I like east winds cause it keeps a lot of folks off the lakes...less competition.

    Default east wind

Would agree with ksfish, wind has been coming from the east northeast for days- and we are absolutely hammering them out here. The winds have been very light which is incredible because it can blow 15-30 for a month at at time.

I did manage to boat 15 keepers with the biggest at 14-1/2". Lately i've been catching all my fish on 2" Pumpkin/Chart Baeaver Tails, but they would not touch them. I had to pull out the 2-1/2 Red Chart Glow Chapman Creek tubes and pump it full of Crappie nibbles. All before the Log Jam, 5-6 fow.
